An exciting opportunity for a Legal apprentices to join the team, providing all ten JLES Regions with legal support and assistance. The role is predominantly associated with applying a functional knowledge and understanding of specific areas of the Law to the legal hindrances that delay the clients’ highway and sewer ‘adoptions’.

- Annual wage - £15,704
- Working week - Monday to Thursday from 8:30am to 5:00pm and Friday from 8:30am to 4:30pm
- Total hours per week: 40
- Expected duration - 16 Months

What will the apprentice be doing?
Main Responsibilities:
- Reporting directly to JLES’ Legal Services Manager, you will take on responsibilities to manage and oversee legal hindrances to highway and sewer adoptions
- Liaising with local authorities, clients and third parties’ legal teams as required
- Negotiating legal requirements with local authorities, researching alternative approaches, and assisting presenting these findings and solutions to both internal and external clients
- Assisting the team in reporting to the JLES regions with regular updates
- Assisting the JLES regions in reporting to clients
- Working interdependently with JLES regions to achieve time, cost & quality in all assignments
- Liaisons with various Adopting Authorities to pursue information, feedback, and approvals
