Harron Homes entrusted JLES Northern as the main contractor to finalise the highway and sewer works on their development. Our strategic works programme ensured the completion of critical works and secured the maintenance certificate from Bradford Metropolitan Borough Council and Yorkshire Water. The scope of works included intricate tasks such as:
• 6-metre deep excavations to replace faulty drainage sections
• Replacement of manhole chamber rings and damaged covers
• Numerous kerb realignments spanning the entire site
• Complete final surfacing package to elevate the overall project quality
This project was completed on a fixed fee basis with 0 extras charged to the client.
Managing a large number of residents posed difficulties, especially concerning road closures and temporary restrictions on driveway access.
However, our team implemented a comprehensive resident liaison plan, ensuring constant communication to reduce inconveniences.
Tackling deep excavations, some reaching up to 6 metres, demanded precision and safety measures. JLES navigated this with meticulous planning and execution, guaranteeing the structural integrity of the project.
Adverse weather conditions presented another hurdle, but our adaptable approach and proactive planning ensured that progress was steady even in challenging conditions.
