Allison Homes appointed JLES Thames as their specialist contractor to complete the outstanding sewer works on this development. JLES’ works programme enabled Anglian Water to issue the schemes maintenance certificate. The works included:
• Manhole works programme which involved; replacing damaged raising pieces, frame / covers, headwall clearance, general maintenance /cleansing.
• Major excavation works programme; 3no surface water and 1no foul water excavation to replace damaged drainage length sections.
• No foul water excavation as per the key features section.
This project was completed on a fixed fee basis with 0 extras charged to the client.

• With only one entrance into the estate, JLES engineers had to continually monitor and manage the traffic flow accessing and exiting the development.
• The excavations crossed many residents' driveways, so road plates and extensive liaisons were completed to ensure access was available when required.
• Engineers had to carefully work around difficult utility crossings within the highway when completing a full length re-lay of a foul water sewer.
• Due to the depths of the excavations, we faced multiple complex health and safety issues, which meant JLES engineers had to ensure they were always working to the correct regulations.
