Bellway Homes appointed this Section 278 project to JLES on a consult and construct basis. The works were a pre-occupation planning condition that needed completing to discharge the developers’ obligations.

• Works only invoiced upon Local Authority written acceptance.
• JLES appointed as Principal Contractor, Main Contractor & acted as the developers Managing Agent.
• Traffic management design & applications.

• Consultancy & technical support work to secure maintenance certificate.

As the new development is located on land adjoining the main road leading from the A1 into Felton Village, the programming and co-ordination of the works, along with the associated traffic management were critical to successful deliver this project. Due to the restricted access during the works, it was essential to undertake night-time surfacing to the main carriageway.
